In the video below, Tyler is training for Cage Fighting using Myosource Kinetic for Resistance. He is working on foot speed, quickness, core strength, kicking power and endurance. Myosource Kinetic Bands allows athletes to work all Core muscles while performing normal workouts and routines. The bands are great for contracting all the muscles in the quads, hamstrings, glutes, and hip flexor to produce speed, power, explosion and endurance.
Hop Drill: In the hop drill you will jump from side to side over a cone or other object. The key is to take 15-20 seconds jumping back and forth from side to side over the cone as fast as you possible. Notice that Tyler pushes off the outside foot in each jump. This drill will help you increase quickness, agility, endurance, speed, strength, and explosive muscle power
The second portion of this segment is jumping over the cone forward and back for 15-20 seconds as fast as possible. Then immediately continue to go forward and backward jumping with one foot at a time pushing off with the right foot and landing with the left foot. This is a very intense workout.
Tyler moves on to a kicking drill. He brings one of his knees up into a kicking motion. Make sure to bring the knee up as high as possible in each knee raise kicking motion. The bands provide double the resistance to build quickness, speed and power.
Next, Tyler is performing a dance around foot drill. The goal is to keep the feet moving. A lot of kick boxers, wrestlers, and cage fighters lose a match because their opponent is able to last longer. These drills will help increase stamina and endurance to last throughout the match. Focus on continuous movement with quick feet. The bands are activating the muscles in each movement causing them to work against the tension.
Build strength, power, speed, explosiveness, balance, stability and more.
