Goalkeepers must have quick feet, quick hands, and quick thinking / reaction time. While watching any goalie you can see that a goalie has to go from a regular ready athletic position to a jumping or diving position in a split second with the ability to get back up fast or get back into position. Goalie’s block blazing fast shots and must also be able to change body direction in an instant so overall quickness is a must. A goalie must also remain in control and on balance while under attack.
