Speed and Skills training for outfielders.
These Baseball drills are utilized when an outfielder makes a bad initial read and needs to correct it to make the play. Baseball Misread Correction Drill with Myosource Ultimate Kinetic Bands:
- Set your cones up at a 45-degree angle for markers so baseball players know the direction they need to go in order to complete the drill.
- First, break to the right with a good drop step and crossover. As the baseball player realizes he made a bad read, he plants his foot, opens his hips and rotates to make the play.
- Make sure that baseball players perform this drill to the right and to the left.
- Feel the resistance of Myosource Ultimate Kinetic Bands / resistance bands in each movement
Head Flip: The second part of the drill is a little more difficult due to taking the eye off the ball.Sometimes taking the eye off the ball is necessary when making a bad read in order to correct and make the play. Notice in the above video how the baseball player flips his head from one direction to the other when he realizes the misread in order to change directions and make the play.
