CHEERLEADING - Cheer Jump Bands - TOE TOUCH STEPS and TIPS

1. Start in a Low Prep position – low clap with hands clasped together out in front of the body, the legs together and slightly bent – maintain a flat back - Maintain great balance and stability

2. Spring up on the balls of your feet bringing your hands to the “V” position for momentum for your Toe Touch -the benefit is to add power to explode off the floor to get high enough to execute a great Toe Touch – the Legs must come out, the hips must drop, and everything has to be brought back in for a safe landing

3. Swing your arms down into an “X” motion keeping fists slightly above the knees – make sure to keep your back straight – leaning too far forward will decrease your momentum to get high off the ground or floor – make sure to keep your knees over your toes

4. Swing arms out into a “T” position while bringing both legs up and out and rotating the hips backwards – remember to bring your feet up to your hands not your hands down to your feet
