Netball Speed and Agility drills with Resistance Bands / Kinetic Bands

Speed off the mark and acceleration are vital to success for Netball players. This video is of our friends from Trinidad & Tobago demonstrating how adding resistance with Myosource Kinetic Bands can enhance netball speed and agility drills. Myosource Kinetic Bands / resistance bands challenge the athletes to work harder during every rep of every drill to work more muscles developing speed, quick feet, change of direction and body control, balance and stability for these Netball ladies.
Explosive Speed is very important for Netball players because they have to move into position to be open in order to receive a pass to make a shot. Once they have the ball they cannot take another step so speed is vital because the player with the ball only has 3 seconds to pass the ball or shoot so all the other players are moving around the floor to get open. The speed and agility ladder drills in this video are helping these netball players work on their footwork and increase muscle activation to move quicker. Notice how these athletes are working on quick feet in and out of the ladder laterally and forward.Myosource Kinetic Bands are activating the muscles in each move causing them to work against the resistance to increase speed. The quicker the muscles are activated the quicker the athlete will become.
Netball athletes must be able to perform explosive moves from a standing position. They have to have takeoff dynamic speed in order the have an edge over their opponents.Netball athletes are constantly changing direction and starting and stopping so their first step speed is crucial to being successful. They must be able to move quickly both forward and laterally. The video shows how these netball athletes are performing quick feet moves popping up off the floor as quickly as possible in each step.Myosource Kinetic Bands are making them feel and experience the burn in each movement.
