Speed and agility fitness training comes in a variety of forms and this fitness workout shows how you can maximize your training sessions on the track. In this video we are combining two different styles of resistance with the speed sled and the Myosource Kinetic Bands®. These functional training tools help activate and fire a variety of muscles while allowing the user to maintain a sprint position and work on strength as well as running form, balance and stability. Speed sled training is nothing new, but adding the Kinetic Bands is a great way to increase power, speed and endurance. This will enable each user to work on power and strength development for muscle longevity while elevating the heart rate at the same time.
Karla is pulling this resistance sled she is training her muscles to fire harder and quicker during each step with bands. Whether you are sprinter, football player, tennis player, or any other athlete, it is imperative to be explosive and quick. In this video Karla is working against the resistance to fire the muscle rapidly and aggressively. Athletes who work against resistance are training their muscles to fire harder to develop functional strength. Both the sled and Kinetic Bands force the joints and muscles to be activated and exert more force. Karla is using her arms and legs in coordination while keeping her core activated. She is also maintaining stability and balance with great form as her body is challenged to press on.
