Depth Jumps: During a depth jump, it is essential for athletes to use their arms to drive their body up explosively off the ground. The goal is to spend as little time on the ground as possible when the feet hit the floor. The quicker the feet leave the floor after landing the greater the results will be from the drill. During this drill, jump with both feet up on the platform, then jump off the platform onto the floor and straight up into the air bringing the knees up towards the chest. Notice in the video that his feet hit the ground and he immediately explodes up into his jump spending as little time on the floor as possible As stated in the video, perform 6-8 or 8-10 reps depending on your level of fitness and do 3-4 sets. This drill is a great adddition to other Plyometric training.

Why Use Kinetic Bands for Depth Jumps? The purpose of using Myosource Kinetic Bands is to provide hip and knee stability and to provide the resistance to put tension on the muscles which pulls the knees inward causing the body to work against the resistance.
